Carrissma is a powerful, talented young horse. She is sired by the Dutch Warmblood stallion Rasputin (see left). Rasputin has exceptional conformation, temperament and movement that he passes on to his offspring. Rasputin is an Inspekteur son out of a Uniform x Purioso Ster mare. Inspekteur (Darwin x Anor) is a very successful dressage stallion in Holland, known for his temperament and willingness to work. Rasputin is a well balanced, well put together stallion with exceptional temperament and he passes those qualities on to his foals.
Carrissma is out of the mare Legacy VIII, by Lancaster, a son of Landgraf I. Legacy is a talented mare both on the flat, and over fences. She has produced three very correct and impressive foals, including Carrissma.
Carrissma has begun her under saddle career here at Braecrest, and is displaying great talent, heart, and a strong drive to perform. She has a strong walk, elevated trot, and a strong, uphill canter. She has also been free jumped, and displays great scope and willingness. She will make an excellent dressage horse, or jumper as she matures and develops. She has been under saddle for 30 days, and is schooling a quiet walk, trot, and canter, and has a good understanding of bending and softening both laterally and vertically. See picture below.
