5 stunning young fillies from Braecrest attended this open breed show at Fieldstone Farm.
Hot Gossip, Silver Lining, Romantic Pursuit, Spotless, and Wasabi all attended this show. We must send a big thank you out to all of the owners of these horses, for being so helpful with everything that day.
Romantic Pursuit was first to show, and came home winning the Open Yearling Class, Junior Champion, and Thoroughbred Yearling class. Judge ‘Jack Braithwaite’ had wonderful words to share about this one, commenting on her top show condition, and encouraging us to take her to the RAWF this year. Thank you Jack!
Spotless was next to show, competing in the 2 year old Open and Thoroughbred classes. Spotless made us all proud, coming a very close second in the Open, and won the Thoroughbred class. Jack also had wonderful words to share about this stunning girl, commenting on her very high quality type and movement. See pic at top of article.
Hot Gossip, Wasabi, and Silver Lining all competed in the Open 3 year old class, making their owners proud. Hot Gossip came home with a second, Silver Lining a third, and Wasabi a 5th. Well done ladies.
Claire also handled the 4 year old stallion "Sailor's Spirit", bred and owned by Shannon Smith, in the stallion class. He made his owner, very proud by winning the stallion class, and was Grand Champion of the day. Well done Sailor!
The three year olds also competed in the Hunter Suitability and Dressage Suitability classes under saddle. Silver Lining was ridden by owner Nikki Wilson, Hot Gossip by Claire Hunter, and Wasabi by Valerie Smith-Bracken. All three mares did very well.
In the Hunter Suitability, Silver Lining placed third, Wasabi placed 5th, and Hot Gossip placed 6th. In the Dressage suitability, Wasabi impressed everyone with a second place, well done! Hot Gossip placed fourth, and Silver Lining was 5th.
Again, congratulations and thank you to all of the owners of these fantastic young horses.
