At 12:30 in the afternoon on Sunday March 22, the sneaky mare Posey delivered her foal in the sun, outside in the comfort of her round bale! This stunning colt is sired by Niigon, out of Poetic Eskimo. Welcome to the world Nigel!
Nigel arrived on a Sunday afternoon, after his sneaky mother decided to deliver him outside in the soft round bale. I had 
been watching her very closely the entire week surrounding her due date, and the sneaky mare decides to foal outside with her two pregnant mare friends, in the warmth of the sunshine. No wax, no warning, just pops out a healthy bay colt! Fortunately there were people around to help with the situation, as I was over 2 hours away in Oshawa with a client! I never go anywhere, and Posey waits until I'm far far away to deliver this boy, do you think I should take that personally? This colt is lovely. He is tall, very correct, and is going to be a special one. Check back for photos and updates as he develops!
