A New Chapter...
As we all know, gossip in the horse industry travels like wildfire. I thought I’d write to anyone interested, and explain the changes happening here at Braecrest....
I must start by thanking everyone for their support over the past 8 years. Family, friends, clients, this place would not be possible without all of you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Now the headlines....we are not shutting down, we are not moving, we are not getting out of horses... it’s just time for a new chapter, and now is the time.
Many of you are aware that my father is ill. He has a neurological disease called Multiple System Atrophy. He has been symptomatic for 7 years now, and he now spends most of his time living life from his wheelchair. My father is the biggest inspiration of my days...when everything is going wrong, and everything is unbelievably difficult, I just think of what he is dealing with, and it gives me strength to push through anything. His deterioration has also made me realise how precious life and time is, and that if you don’t live in the moment and enjoy the moment...you will never get that time back. He has many projects and goals that he would like to complete, and it is now my time to be there for him.
So the business will continue, but just to a much smaller scale. This will allow me to have time to be with my family, help my father reach his goals and complete projects, and really enjoy and make the best of our time together.There are a handful of stalls that will now be available for boarders, and there are a very limited number of training spots available. I do encourage everyone that if you have a young horse that you need started, or are having some communication troubles with your current mount, please don’t hesitate to email me to see if we can help you, as there might just be openings here and there.
