I was well aware of your name and sound reputation long before we met, and had heard positive comments about your unique training abilities echoed from many in the industry. There was no question, when I acquired a young horse I had planned to send it your way. What luck to find my perfect match at Braecrest!
Your kind, confident, and quiet way of handling the horses left a very positive impression on little Gerry. The change in her demeanour during her two months stay with you was remarkable. When I first met Gerry, she resented having her mane brushed and tried to pin me against the wall. When I visited the following weekend, her mane was pulled trim and she was settled and quiet as a lamb when I combed her mane through. Subtle changes such as these were indicative of your thorough, kind approach.
Off the track in August, Gerry didn’t look an inch a race horse by November. In excellent weight, coat gleaming, you gave me the confidence to handle Gerry in the Thoroughbred line class at the Royal Winter Fair and to a very positive end: Reserve Senior Champion Thoroughbred Filly!
Gerry is a delight to ride and work with; quiet, happy, and very eager to please. Her “yes” attitude makes my heart sing. I am looking forward to our return to Braecrest for further training. In the interim, I have and will continue to recommend you to everyone needing help along the way!
